How we are adapting to the New Normal
General Policies due to COVID19
We hope you are safe and well. Susan and I are happy to welcome you back to serve your eye health and vision needs. As you may expect, your experience will be a bit different due to COVID19. We have changed processes to limit the time you are in the office, while still providing the comprehensive care your are used to, with all of us wearing masks. We will be wearing N95 masks and shields to protect you. Cleaning of all surfaces, equipment, door knobs, etc is conducted after each patient leaves, before we let the next patient enter. Frames will be disinfected after being touched or tried on. Air filters are changed weekly. We have true-HEPA air filter with UV in the exam room. Deep disinfecting is done at closing. We will check our own temperature daily and any patients as they enter. We are providing curb-side pick-up to reduce traffic in the office.
When you arrive...Call when you arrive to check-in. We will discuss your current concerns, medical history, and make updates of administrative paperwork by phone. You agree to reveal if you have any respiratory illness, flu-like symptoms including fever, cough, muscle aches, loss of smell, breathing problems or have been in contact with a COVID19 patient. You will be re-booked in 4 weeks.

During your visit...At your visit, please expect very little non-essential verbal and physical contact with Susan and myself, since our main focus is limiting contact time, while providing the detailed exam you need. You will enter the office alone, with others remaining outside or in the car. For children 10 and younger, one parent is permitted. Those with special needs may also have a companion, with mask and health screening.
|
After your visit...Your prescriptions, credit card slips, detailed receipts and rebate forms can be uploaded to your patient portal to avoid handing papers back and forth. You access the portal by an email link that we send you. We will streamline check-out procedure to help you exit the office as quickly as possible.
