Welcome to our optometric practice, Margaret A. Hamilton, O.D., Inc. We provide care at a level that surpasses what you have come to expect in health care these days. We are a small, personalized vision care office with a focus on children, family care, and precise prescriptions.
Since 1987, Dr. Margaret Hamilton and staff have been serving the greater Dayton area, Montgomery County and Greene County with the highest level of eye care. Your eye health and visual performance are of great importance to us! We provide routine eye exams, LASIK and Cataract pre-/post-op care, detection of eye diseases including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and cataracts, and treatment of eye infections.
We also specialize in Pediatric Optometry (Developmental Optometry) evaluating children for tracking problems and treatment with Vision Therapy. A new service is myopia management, to reduce the rate of lengthening of the eyes in children with myopia. In the U.S., the number of people with myopia has doubled over the last few decades. The concern is that people with myopia of 1 unit or more have increased risk of glaucoma, cataract, retinal detachment, and macular degeration. With 5-6 units of myopia the risk is 40 X greater yet. Options include prescription eyedrops, bifocal glasses, and MiSight contact lenses.
We provide comprehensive eye care for all ages from infants and young children to seasoned adults and make sure that our patients are treated like family or better. From the time you walk through our doors until your visit is over, our dedicated staff will help you with all of your eyecare needs including choosing the correct frames and lenses to suit your eyewear needs.
